, i got the special edition dvd but i always wind up about halfway in when their on their dirtbikes and just doze off
fright night had comedy, effects, cool characters in roddy mcdowell and the guy who played jerry and not to mention music (thats evelyn champagne king)

It's aged, and more then a little dated now, but still not a bad throwback horror movie, I liked the remake a lot, but thought the third act kind of fell apart, and didn't do well at establishing tension throughout the scenes after Jerry is pursuing them, it went too Hollywood/explosions/car chases, the tension was lost. But, Colin Farrell was great, more of him as the creepy neighbor/ambiguous vampire would have elevated the movie considerably.
