The country’s oldest Black collegiate newspaper marks a milestone this year. The Hilltop, Howard University’s student newspaper, is celebrating 100 years. The Hilltop was co-founded by former Howard University students Zora Neale Hurston and Eugene King. The first issue of the newspaper was published on January 22, 1924.
