The OKC Thunder have quietly built a defense better than the 2004 Pistons

The Thunder are on track to be the GOAT defense not just statistically but also the fact that they’re doing it in the GOAT offensive era against the most skilled players we’ve ever seen.

That is far more impressive than the 2004 Pistons who played in the watered down iso ball era where everybody looked like great defenders because the games were so slow and trash.

Holding the Suns to 83 points in 2024 is far more impressive than holding the Nets to 65 points in 2004.
