Which is why folks can’t be mad that the league took whatever rights deal they did because this season’s hype feels temporary unless the next crop of girls coming in are super elite.
And despite Caitlin’s good skills folks will not admit that the big driving force behind them magically tuning in is for

I said it before, but you watch these games and most teams only have 2 legit hoopers on them, 3 max. The rest of them are beating the shyt out of the backboard bricking layups and fumbling passes. And they trying to expand with a couple more teams. Cot damn, man them squads are going to be unwatchable unless they keep getting legit hoppers coming up from college.
Is the WNBA the premier women's league in the world, or are there better players somewhere else right now who don't want to come over?

the league is younger than most colibrehs, of course the talent has been raw. there is now a generation of girls who have been playing serious organized ball all their lives so the standard will be raised a little bit each year.
People just think of the new generation as this year group of rookies and Paige, Juju etc, but I can honestly go back years where you can see the exact difference where female ballers took off. When Stewie and A'ja class came into the league you just knew what you were seeing was different.
