Bruh on twitter they acted like Sha'carri won the world championship the other day , I hate how they act like she's the only Black female sprinter from the USA and they don't even support the other women.

yep aleia hobbs has been the best american runner this year but she doesn't exist

Yet this thread title and another thread was only created after ShaCarri blew up. Y’all wasn’t even posting about women track like that on here before her, so why should anyone else care?

There's a thread made every year to put track and field activity's in, this is just the lastest one. Older threads talk about past track and field stars, Shacarri is a polarizing athlete in track so she's going to talked about, but I was asking why other track and field athletes don't get the Shaderoom and other outlet backing like Shacarri does.

Because she’s the most popular to casual fans, and your average person that follows something like The Shade Room ain’t keeping up with track like that. Same reason why Odell Beckham gets posted a hell of a lot more than Aaron Donald.

Don’t be obtuse :comeon:

Odell hasn’t made a Pro Bowl or All-Pro team since 2016. Hella wide receivers have lapped him but who’s still the most popular? It is what it is.

These social media pages post about what’s gonna get them the most interactions. Sha’carri initially blew up in popularity because people loved her image (the hair, the nails, the makeup, the shyt-talking), not because of her on-field dominance. If that was all that mattered then Sydney McLaughlin would’ve been the one Americans rallied around.

Let’s not rewrite history. She blew up because she was winning and after she won USAs. She got even bigger after she was banned.

No one pays attention to any events outside of the 100, 200 and relays. So that’s why Sydney isn’t known. Y’all act like y’all can make any 400 hurdlers outside of Sydney, Delilah and them newer girls anyway.

It was created because ShaCarri first race after being banned from the Olympics was a diamond league meet.

Her haters(who keep her popping) aren’t any more knowledgeable than her fans.

Naw there’s threads around certain events(worlds or Olympics) but y’all was never posting about non championship meets.
They don’t post about the other athletes for the same reason this thread(plus the other) have ShaCarri in the title and most of the post in both are about ShaCarri. Y’all don’t really care about them and most people ain’t looking at track outside of the Olympics.
