ASPEN HILL, Md. (ABC7/WJLA) - A young man looking for quick and easy sex on a dating app is now half blind and in need of facial reconstructive surgery.

On Sept. 14, the male victim, who ABC7 is not identifying, connected with a woman on MeetMe.com. The victim provided the woman with his home address, and within hours, she had arrived out front in a Toyota Prius.
The woman drove the victim to the back of the Kmart located near the corner of Connecticut and Georgia Avenues in Aspen Hill. Shortly after parking in the secluded spot, a masked man opened the car door and stabbed the victim in the leg.
The masked man ordered the victim out of the Prius, and clocked him in the face with an unknown object. That caused the victim to collapse onto the ground. The woman and masked man pilfered the victim's iPhone, wallet, gold Nixon watch and Nike Air Force shoes before driving away.
The blitz beating left the victim hospitalized for nearly a week. His wounds included a fractured jaw and nose, plus total loss of vision in his left eye. Medical staff advised that removal of that eye, plus facial reconstructive surgery will likely be necessary.
Injured, but committed to finding his attackers, the victim logged back onto MeetMe.com, but the woman had blocked his account. The victim created an account on SKOUT.com — which is affiliated with MeetMe.com — and located the woman, now identified as Revah Gabrielle Williams, 28, of Southeast D.C.
Authorities have since charged Williams with four criminal counts including first-degree assault and armed robbery.
This criminal case serves a stern reminder about the potential perils of dating and hookup apps. In August, a Montgomery County woman was drugged, raped and turned into a human trafficking victim during a first date. The victim and her alleged attacker, Kyle Hilliard, 30, of Gaithersburg, met on the dating app SKOUT.com.
In its description on the Apple App Store, MeetMe.com boasts that more than 100 million people use its services worldwide. It has a four-star rating.
"MeetMe helps you find new people nearby who share your interests and want to chat now! It’s fun, friendly, and free,” the description reads.
Williams has a criminal history that includes assault and prostitution. She has three young children and uses the aliases "Beautiful" and "Angel,” authorities note.
Citing the severity of the victim’s injuries, a Montgomery County District Court judge refused to grant Williams bond. She is facing up to 90 years in prison. Her alleged male accomplice remains at large.
