I don't get it..
Serena won 3 of 4 GS last year.. She just won Winbledon and got to the finals in the French and AO..
yeh she don't play a gang of tournaments.. but Sharapova who was the consensus No2 been banned for roids..
So who else a threat to her No1?
Both Murray and Federer ain't gonna have an easy path to the final, expect only one of them to get there and whoever does wins it
It's the nature of how points are allocated. Points are based on how you did in the same tournament the previous year. So because she wins so much, she has to "defend" points. Its 900 for a premier mandatory win and 2000 for a major win.
So for example she just succesfully defended 2000 she had from winning wimbledon last yr. She didn't make a gain....whereas kerber didn't go far last year so gained a whole bunch of points making this final.
Kerber no. 2 and garbine no. 3 have a shot right now

Girl who beat her in the French Muguruza has a big game. She beat her at Wimbledon a few years back. Kerber has a lot of confidence too but her biggest threat is herself.
