I’m on episode 5 - I feel like the tone of season 2 is weirdly more comedic than the first season.

Like, the sense/feeling of dread just isn’t there or at the very least it’s not as prevalent.

They added a lot of comic relief characters so the tension isn’t the same - I’m still enjoying it though, but yeah, feels like there’s a tonal shift between the first and second season so far

They definitely added more comedy to the show in season 2. Season 1 was very sad and depressing.

Finished all episodes in one day due to my flu, this was definitely incomplete season compared to season 1 and that sucks.
I thought the first episode of this season was the best, the recruiter was a dope villain

but what makes no sense is that

the mobsters never took guns with them to protect themselves from him and they got easily handled with a briefcase like he was John Wick

the characters i need to see die gruesomely are the psycho religious bytch, and that middle age fat man who talks mad shyt
I hated those characters more than anyone else, and fukk momma's boy too

I would recommend that some of you watch the 2020 Korean movie Deliver Us from Evil. It's good.

One of the main actors in that movie is Lee Jung-jae (Gi-hun's actor). He plays a completely different character from Gi-hun (a calculated, violent gangster).

I watched the movie years ago but only just now realized that it's the same actor that plays Gi-hun.

I've seen it and I didn't realize it was Lee Jung-jae till your post. S1 Gi-hun was so dumb and square I couldn't recognize his other roles.
