Eddie Hazel AND Michael Hampton both deserve more props than they're given. Shout out to Garry Shider as well. Dude was a legendary guitar player and singer.

THE TIKI FULWOOD STORY (1944-1979): FROM THA FOOT UP! - Rate Your Music

^Story of Tiki Fulwood's life and his time spent in the group. Long read but well worth it. It all centers around Tiki Fulwood but you learn a lot about the band as a whole and the struggles they had to endure during those early years. Apparently the original Funkadelic members (Tiki Fulwood, Eddie Hazel, Billy "Bass" Nelson) were barely on the first Funkadelic album. They all had problems with George Clinton at the time so George went and got a bunch of session musicians to fill in their places. Good Old Music was recorded before the falling out and you can clearly tell because Tiki's drumming was :wow:

I probably have 5 P-Funk/ Funkadelic albums and I still don't even feel like I've scratched the surface. I bought a re-press of Standing on the Verge but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.

Went to a George Clinton show a year or two ago and they were rocking I can't imagine what their shows were like back in the day. :ohlawd:
