Jones is as good as he's ever been. In his last fight he clearly beat probably his toughest opponent. His movement and evasiveness hasn't changed.
Nobody said he isnt still a good fighter. But hell no his movement and evasiveness is not the same. He's much less smoother now, gets hit alot more than he use to, and is overall a little slower then he was. Probably due to added muscle

I was listening to Dolce's podcast this morning and he went on a rant about the fight. FWIW he says

Honda has been decreasing her weight and she now only walks around at 151. She was at 145 the last two weeks of camp and basically could make weight easily from there.

He said there was no way should agree to a catch weight when the opponent is a legit 175 heavier and used GSP not wanting to fight Andy as an example.

He might be a little bit slower. But saying his movement is 'half as good' is crazy.

I think he just has more confidence in his chin and counter punches. Going into the Page fight the big knock was could he take the punch. For right or wrong he seemed to conquer that in his mind and fight in the pocket more............

:dwillhuh: which fight showed you that. Jones loves to put himself in the position where the opponent should succeed but he still wins regardless. :wow: he fights at their strengths and still comes out on top
so is this skinny welter brit brother MVP the real deal???
Yeah he's interesting check out the interview I did with him. And tell me what you think.

Great, unorthodox, and flashy striker. But still largely unproven, his record is filled with bums. He's shown potential though.
huge fan of his, but he better get that "clowning" shıt out his system. . .if he faces some decent competition, he might end up snoozing!

That might be possible but I dont think anyone willingly allows themselves to get hit just because they have confidence in their chin. Especially somone who lacks KO punching power like Jones. He's looked very flatfooted at times and as somone who watched every jones fight from the beginning, "flatfooted" was a description I never thought I'd use.

I'm not saying he is willingly taken shots. It's more that it seems he is not afraid the exchange if that advances his game plan.

H def is flat footed for the glover and DC fight he trained harder on his boxing more than anything else. Hopefully this year off he continues to makes stride in that department. He needs to learn how to punch in a combo because he doesn't have 1 hit ko power like that, but with a combo :wow:

Exactly
