:gucci::what:

WHAT?! When did Carragher say that?! Christ, he was shytting on today about not wanting to be hyperbolic about Mitoma's first touch for the goal, but he's happy to say pure shyte like that?!

He really is an absolute walloper.

:hhh:
It's the English tax

Pundits give more praise to the English lads than they do foreign players

That's why we have bang average players who the pundits and media talk like they are world class all the time

What Superclasico did you go to?
It was in 2008 and it was a friendly I think before the season started
It was held at the Mar De Plata stadium

Even though it wasn't held at either of Boca or River Plates stadium, it was still a good experience, getting involved with all the chanting and crowd movements they do

And Riquelme was playing
We were in the Boca end of the stadium and also did the Boca stadium tour whilst in Buenos Aires as well

The English tax was always about the mental prices that the homegrown players cost due to the need to fill the squad quotas, but I get what you're saying.

I'm sure he's forgetting all of the times that he has called Mo the best player in the PL - dumbass trying to claim that he has said it most recently about Bale before Cole, and I'm sure that is pure and unadulterated horseshyt :russ:

I get your point, and definitely a lot of pundits with the blinkers on when it comes to the best players in the PL, but, in this instance, I'm gonna let Occam's Razor dictate that Carragher is just a fukking numpty.

Yeah sorry
Should have used a different word than tax as English tax is to do with mental prices to fill squad quotas as you said

But it's part of it all, we have the likes of Neville going on about how World class Kyle Walker is and the best right back ever in the PL
Give me a break and do one :camby:

He is rubbish going forward, not a great defender and tackling ain't his strong point
But he is quick that is it
But you never hear him praising other RB who are not English like that like Lauren

Walker was excellent for a period of time, but never seemed to be the sharpest tool in the box; Reece James too, but sadly it appears that he's made of biscuits. Lauren was fukking immense, though. As you say, criminally underrated, but maybe only because of the level of talent in the Arsenal side he played in. From memory, he was decent at Pompey, too.

I actually thought that both Carragher and Neville were pretty good at the start pf their media careers, but I'd prefer to listen to kittens drowning than either of those two and their takes now. It seems a pretty talentless time for talking heads in the PL at the moment. Maybe it's exacerbated as I get the dregs on Australian PL coverage. It really is fukking awful.

It’s even worse.. a delusional optimist. A small part of me still believes… :francis:

Same here, and it's always hope that massacres you in the end. So many times, over the course of 40-years with Arsenal in my life, I've thought, 'This is it; this is our time to go up a gear; our time to kick on! This is where we take control of the league!' and we proceed to utterly shyt the bed. And then roll around on the shytty sheets for added indignity.

I never learn.

@jj23 You’re right. I don’t think I can tolerate 60 minutes more of this. They’ve been offside 4 times in 5 minutes. Good grief.

I’ve got to give credit to donkey face, he’s got his tactics on containing Arsenal 100% effective. He knows our only chance of winning will come from the wings, so he’s forcing us to play narrow, and we’ve got no target man up front.

We will eventually end up winning but this will be such a labored victory, that it’ll feel like a loss. :unimpressed:
