Neymar is truly missed

Yeah that one Confederations Cup title win :skip:

Brasil aren't a serious team they haven't had a CF since 2010 and even then Luis Fabiano wasn't all that if we're going off the history of Brasil #9's that came before him. Too many dribblers not enough passers and Diniz ball while cool for the romantics is an all or nothing system.

They robbed us of a crazy semifinal last year

Just so disappointing

If you're going life and death with an older then old Croatia team and don't take your chances then you don't deserve to go thru. :manny:

Brasil have good defenders but they have a habit of switching off at the wrong times and along with not being clinical in the big games up front this has been the biggest issue for over a decade. They can Jogo Bonito all they want vs the weaker oppostion but once they play a tough well organised team they fold.

Neymar is truly missed, imagine a WC without Brazil.

:dead: if you think Chile, Bolivia or Perú can surpass Brazil in these qualifiers. In a worst case scenario they'll be 7th playing the playoff against a really low national squad from either Concacaf, AFC CAF or OFC.

And I'll be shocked if Ancelotti can't make a brazilian squad have an easy 2nd half of the qualifier and end up 4th or 5th without sweating much.

It's not even about Jogo Bonito, they haven't done that shyt in like 17 years :dead: brazilian players dancing and celebrating goals isn't "jogo bonito".

Tite's teams had really bad luck. Both the Belgium and Croatia games they should've won, specially the Croatia one. It's not as black and white as you put it though, Argentina chocked away both the Quarterfinals against Netherlands AND the Finals against France but were able to come through on penalties. Knock out stages in the WC have a degree of luck that people don't like to acknowledge for some reason.

I never said anything about dancing and celebrating goals. :mjpls:

When I say Jogo Bonito. While its not the 80's Magic Square. Brasil still have more flair in their games than everyone else does. Rainbow flicks and seal dribbles. But they aren't the tough gritty and grimey side like Uruguay are and never will be. And when Brasil play the likes of Honduras Iraq Tanzania they definitely put some extra sauce on the style.

You can say they were unlucky vs Belgium and Croatia but they didn't take their chances. You can control and dominate game as much as you want but if you arent creating clear cut chances or not finishing the chances you make you deserve to lose expecially in the big matches. These big pressure games are usually separated by fine margin games. Brasil arent doing that. Argentina choked and then rectified the problem by showing bottle in the pen shootouts. Something which people didn't think they could do as recent history had shown (And they cannot play the Netherlands everytime in a pen shootout) Its not like YOU havent benefit once or twice from the Argentine bottling mentally or anything within the last decade. :skip:

That's kinda my point though :heh: in the 2015 finals we should've won in regulation but we actually got miraculously lucky (in the sense that it NEVER happens to us) when Higuain bottled an empty goal chance in literally the last play of the game.

In 2016 we probably would've lost if Rojo doesn't go full retard and gives the ref the perfect excuse for a red card that made the game 10 vs 10 and completely changed the dynamics of what was going on.

And yes, important games are usually separated by the finest margins, that's why I don't put that much stock on national teams not winning or not advancing further in a WC unless they got truly dominated and/or played like shyt the entire tourney.

Regarding your wins. You can say lucky that Piguain missed but we all know that is just who Piguain is doing his usual in a big game. It would of been more luck if he scored. Same with Rojo getting sent off the likelihood of him getting sent off is 50/50 because that who he is. No luck just playing the percentages. :skip:

Nah 5 time 5 time World Cup winners the Country most associated with playing beautiful football. You have people throwing their own countries in the bushes hoping Brasil will win before theirs. Are more beloved and held to a much higher standard than any other country. If you keep losing big matches questions will be asked and that's what Brasil are doing. Long gone are the days they could send a combo B and C teams to win the Copa America

Until the past 2 years Argentina were Cowboys/49ers status. Underachieving bottle jobbers.
