The reason why Man City were able to get the 2 year UCL ban overturned by CAS was because they proved all the irregularities occurred outside the 5 year time bar. Basically, they claimed Statute of Limitations under UEFA's rules.

No such rule exists with the Premier League. They'll have to use other measures, like bribes.

Are they going to retrospectively deduct points for the years in question? Other wise that's unfair on the teams affected.

I'm hearing there were a few seasons where the margins were razor thin ...a few points deducted could cause problems for the oil project
