"Legacy videos" like "legacy fans" hard to understand ma franchised out bredda ?

Roma is NOT a worse club than the Chelsea that Jose took over in 2004  .

Back in 2003 when Kerry Dixon and Ron "Chopper" Harris were the club's heroes and they had somehow managed to tap up some pre-retirement players like Gullit.

Meanwhile Roma had Totti, Cafu, De Rossi, Falcao etc at their peaks.

But you don't know anything about that... :mjlol:

That's not an insult though. You actually don't know.

In 2003 the top English teams (big 5) were Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Spurs.

This is the all time English 1st Division table - just to show where Chelsea were league-wise relatively speaking.

Chelsea was the team in the rich part of London with racist thug fans and locals who didn't understand or care for football (as they preferred posher games like cricket or rugby (union)).

Hiddink, Hitzfeld, LvG, Robson (Bobby) even Wenger.

Wenger went from Monaco to Japan == "coli finished". Then went to Arsenal.

LvG Barca to AZ .. then to Man Utd

Rodgers Liverpool to Scotland .. then to Leicester .. then turned down Arsenal.

the examples are everywhere but you don't know AND when it's pointed out to you, you ignore.

Jose (even as a success) for historic reasons cannot go to the biggest clubs.

Real 99% rules out Barca. Inter 99% rules out Juve/AC. Bayern and Jose won't match. PSG just hired someone.

Once you have managed at top clubs in the big 3 (ex-Germany) moving to the other top clubs is less likely. Possible but less likely.

We are talking about 12 seats ONLY and at any given time no more than 2 - 3 max are open at the same time.

We are talking about 12 seats ONLY and working at some are auto-disqualifications for others. That means that in reality that 12 is probably only really 5 - 6 opportunities. This is demonstrated by the dearth of managers who have managed for many of them.

:camby::hubie:

I'm on your side with this argument and have agreed with everything you have said but when is that league table from because there is there is no way Everton can be top if you are doing it from the beginning till now
Even if you did it just old 1st Division and stopped at 92 they would be only 3rd

I admit they have been in the top flight the longest, I think it's only 4 season they have not been in it, but at best they are only 3rd overall

It's just the old first division.

I got it from Premier League + 1. Division - All-time league table .

@TobiOT

hate to do it to you ma bredda but Roma were a big team and are now suffering from the relative decline of Serie A (Italian economy). And even now Roma are bigger than Chelsea were in 2004 (when Jose rolled up).

Ron "Chopper" Harris and Kerry Dixon brehs :picard:

AS Roma 13 European Cup /. Champions league appearances to how many to Spurs A.S. Roma in European football - Wikipedia ?

Spurs reached there 2 times via winning the league and probably twice since then at most.

Ron "Chopper" Harris and Kerry Dixon brehs :mjlol:

Chelsea in 2004: fresh off a Champions League semi-final appearance, runners up in the league and massive transfer budget.

Roma today: 7th in Serie Ass, Europa league embarrassment, signing Premier League has-beens because they are broke and no real path to challenging any time soon.

You keep talking about Ron Harris and Kerry Dixon but let's compare Totti's club career with the likes of Lampard, Terry and Drogba and we'll see who's laughing. :mjlol:

[...].

His other jobs have been around the Roma level - i.e. Spurs, Porto - with Inter, Chelsea a little bit above that.

[...]
Inter was a bigger club than all of them, history and resume wise. Also Morratti is no Abramovitch but in the 90s, Inter broke transfer fee records a couple of times with Ronaldo and Vieri

Inter is part of the two biggest rivalries in Italy, I cant see any reason for Roma not to be several notches below Inter, Juve and Milan. I'd say it's around Tottenham levels s thats not a compliment :lolbron:

although i dont really rate pep like that since spending that kinda money to win throphies doesnt require all that much (the current team is below the one from a couple seasons ago if not overall most certainly offensivly) have to give him props with how he had handlede Mahrez. He always used him only from time to time to the point I thought he'll end up on loan somewhere (like Roma) sooner or later. And now recently when he felt like he needed him had no problem making him a constant first starter. In return Ryiad repaid him by scoring 3 times in the semifinal stage. Gotta give both of them props for how they went about their business.

Real in the final would look better to me as a headline but theyve been weak as fukc lately...
