Xhaka's post game was damning but needed.

Aubameyang is going to be an issue real soon. He could be more way more goals under an attacking manager. He's 30 playing on the wings and defending, he runs out of steam so quickly now.

Nah, Arsenal fans want a coach who is going to correct the defence. Now you may think :gucci: But they haven't had that since the late 80's and early 90's. Wenger never had to teach defence because he had the back 5, who were drilled in Graham and Howe's training for all those years. All Wenger did, was get them to play on the ground instead of in the air, kill the drinking culture and get them to eat properly. And once the transition from the 90's back 5 to the invincibles 5, you still had Adams and Keown, to help Lauren and Cole and adding the best English defender in Campbell, made sure they never lost a step. When Kolo came in, it was seamless, because everyone else in defence knew their role and he was the one being mentored. Once Keown and Campbell retired and moved on, they didn't have anyone who was drilled and who could lead and organise the defence. Gallas was a good defender, but he was never a leader of a defence. Nor did they replace Gilberto, the third defender/screen, but that is another convo for another time.

What was the main gripe under Wenger last decade incharge? Defending and concentration and it is still the same thing now.

People can complain about Wenger signed players like Mustafi and Xhaka, but on Sunday it was the 3 players signed under Emery, that were for the phuck ups.
