They do have a previous history of throwing money at players with no discernible strategy , it is honestly an institutional thing for them. The only period of stability was during the aftermath of Calciopoli when they were the last major club standing. In the Ronaldo era they would buy many forwards for very few spots. They had players like Zamorano,Vieri,Djorkaeff,Baggio and even managed to buy Robbie Keane.They're honestly in a worse position.
