They did him dirty that's why he left I remember watching an interview when he said that when he was progressing at United all the coaches at the junior teams U18 U21 etc.. always told him to be patient that he would get his shot and he finally made it to the senior team bench and said that one time in a game against Blackburn Rovers Ferguson was out of midfielders he said that Scholes had semi-retired at that time and he was the only natural midfielder on the senior squad at that time who was healthy instead Ferguson decided to play Rafael (a defender) in a midfielder role that's when he said he felt disrespected and wanted to get out of Man U. He said that he spoke to Ferguson and said that Juve was interested and that he was thinking about making the jump but Ferguson tried to discourage him saying that Italy was racist and the league and fans weren't too fond of black players. Once he made his decision and did not want to resign a contract extension Ferguson basically froze him out of the team he didn't train with the squad lifted by himself trained either by himself or the lower lever younger teams of the club etc... Evra tried to convince him to stay but he wasn't hearing it so he left for Juve
