Completely, and it's hilarious the notion that he isn't. Robben is an absolute. If he's playing, he WILL create chances for either himself or a teammate, usually both.

And then his ability to perform at a high level on the biggest stage but then either be completely clutch or absolutely bottle it at a critical moment

I think I've gone on this rant before, but he is the absolute pinnacle of footballing high drama.

Given that you could probably get him for half the price for Bale, he'd be the ultimate bargain on the transfer market. Age be damned, he's already lost a step since his Chelsea/Real days and he's actually gotten better since then. With his tekkers he'll be contributing at a high level until his mid-30's.

And even with that lost step he is still quicker than most players, liek you said just off his tekkers alone. It is THe way he will dribble past 5 players then try the R1 Fifa finish and sky it miles over the bar, when he has 3 teammates wide open. I would keep him but I'd rather see Rosicky. I can see why he wanted Draxler. With Ozil we need horses. If Podolski had half a brain he would be eating good in that position.

For the lesser teams Santi can stay but he's kind a pointless in big games.

Outside of Koscielny and Chezzer, it's Ozil and Ramsey on the untouchables list.
