Probably more to do with Spurs losin a 12 pt lead, losin a CL spot and Arry being unable to stop the rot and flirtin with the England job when there was no interest in him by the FA.

their season was a disaster after like feb. transfer dealings in january and fukking with bale and whatnot. before hodgson got the england job id say at least half the vocal spurs fans were calling for his head but that could have been typical spurs sour grapes.

not saying this has anything to do with it but the last redknapp interview I heard he was talking about a recent bereavement in the levy family. the man just talks and talks and talks and I cant see levy and co appreciating that.

they would have been looking around for a replacement while expecting redknapp to get the england job and they had their plans buggered.
