On a more general note, some of those old songs circa 60s-70s = :wow:

I was listening to The Zombies today, specifically the song "This Will Be Our Year" and I sorta got why people are always like, old music>>>new music

And I sorta agree, I mean like, fukk us right guys? We have Beyonce and Ke$ha and Brokencyde. Imagine growing up with Beatles, Beach Boys, Zombies, and all those other one hit wonders...shyt would've or was crack I'm sure :ohlawd:
you aint lying

theres this compilation called "nuggets" which are ALL songs completely ignored by history from the 60s, unsuccessful bands/songs that flew under the radar, that no one has ever heard of, and the quality present was just :ohlawd:

even the trash back then was brilliant

I'm kind of amused by that since the other day my dad said that 1d were like the beatles. not quite sure harry styles is gonna be remembered for his penmanship. But apparently my aunt had fainting spells or something similar over them beatles, so i can see his point.
a hater with a point, early beatles were just typical pop (yet still brilliant considering its originality) but its the 66-70 stuff that makes them legend status

People who don't like the second season of the wire :snoop: probably my favourite.

He wasn't hating, it was just a funny comparison, completely ignoring quality. Take That would've been a better comparison.

you can gauge someone's intelligence level by their opinion on season 2 of the wire

and yoyo :wtf: how can something be typical and original simultaneously?

and if its so typical, why is it still so much better than a lot of music?

i'm looking at it in an objective 2013 sort of way

if you listen to the beatles, mixed in with 60s music in general, with no background, they are just "typical"

but given the insight that the beatles started it all, its brilliant

and im talking about the early pop beatles.

of course late beatles, with other information or not, it will still stand out

Rangers have suspended striker Fran Sandaza after comments he made in a hoax telephone call.

Francisco Sandaza: Has yet to hit his stride at Rangers
GettyImagesFrancisco Sandaza has been suspended by Rangers

• Blog: The Toe Poke on Sandaza

The Spaniard was tricked by a hoaxer known as 'Tommy in Glasgow' who, posing as a Los Angeles agent offering him the chance of an MLS contract, got him to reveal his salary and whether he was interested in a move.

The Spaniard was recorded and the conversation posted online. He said he had joined Rangers "for the money and because they are a good club" and would leave if the right offer came along.

He said he earned £4,500-a-week plus bonuses but expected that to rise to £10,000 when Rangers, currently in Scottish Division Three, returned to the Scottish Premier League.

He said: "The money is good. The club is amazing - it is a very, very big club - and the supporters are amazing.

"Obviously if I get a better league and more money I would go. I have been playing all my life to get a good contract for me and my family, so that is why I signed here. I wanted a contract that solved my life.

"I didn't sign for the level [of football at which Rangers are currently playing]. I signed for the money and because they are a good club."

He told the hoaxer, who used the alias Jack McGonagall, that he was wary because "some people can call me and record it then put it in the papers".

In a statement on their official website, Rangers said: "Francisco Sandaza has been suspended by the club pending an investigation into comments made by the player in a recorded telephone conversation.

"The club, Francisco and his agent have had discussions and manager Ally McCoist also spoke with the player, who did not take part in today's training session. Francisco will not return to the club while the investigation is under way.

"Rangers regard this is an extremely serious issue but there will be no further comment until the inquiry, which could take a week, has been completed."
