Potter would be a fool to take the job mid season. If there's anything he should of learnt about the Chelsea job is if you have all these fancy ideas about build up multiple formations etc you need a pre season. Taking a job where you're going to be playing every 3 days for the next 6-7 weeks isn't ideal.
I talked about it on here years ago. Enrique and Barca never had no pace merchants like Dembele. And he was so young, they just told him to go out there and run knowing his hamstrings were made out of peanut brittle. He never had a full, healthy season at Barca so his potential was kneecapped from day one.
But to be fair to him, Neymar was a failure at PSG too.

The only thing you can pin on Dembele is playing video games till the early morning and bad diet. Even Messi had the bad diet in the early days. But as we've seen with Barca they sure do love running young talent into the ground.
Facts. Look at Pedri, Gavi and now Cubarsi. Lamal would be the same if he wasn't a generational talent.

We're a team for playing young players, it's what makes us successful. The kids are here work, hard and play hard.
I wouldn't say Neymar was a failure per say because he did show up when he played. His presence was felt when he was on th pitch.
