Told my Arsenal mandem when Isak was still at La Real that he’d be the perfect striker for them.

Told my Arsenal mandem to sign Eze as a back up for Odegaard. The team was one injury away from everything unraveling…

:dahell: why would Eze be a back up to Odegaard? Eze a LHS player Odegaard is a RHS one.

Odegaard needs someone that will challenge him for the 10 role. “Back up” in that there’s competition for that position. Rh/lh doesn’t matter so much

Odegaard isn't playing #10 tho. Odegaard is more Xavi/Modric Eze is more Iniesta/Isco. Totally different players. Arsenal had Eze type of player in ESR and was used from the LHS. There's a reason why Vieira was signed to be back up to Odegaard not ESR

I've been saying Isak would fit very well. Him and Odegaards partnership at Sociedad was really good, and they're still good friends til this day.

Im sure Arteta would have kept tabs on them during the La Real days. Isn't that his boyhood club? I know he's Basque at least

After Pepe Arsenal/Arteta weren't spending 75m on a player with no Prem experience and coming off a 6 goal league season. Newcastle had to take the risk Arsenal couldn't afford to take it. All the 50m+ players Arsenal have signed under Arteta all played in the Prem.
