problem with Arsenal players is that they have no older players to learn from.
Vermaelen is a joke, wouldn't get a shot as a cb in any top team you must be joking if you think he'd get in ahead of united or city's lot. Sagan is a maybe but he offers so little in the final third I'm doubtful. Although jones seems to get away with it so maybe. Zaba is far better at RB than any of them.

I know. What I'm saying is that they are good players. If Fergie bought these players, he'd never play them with another defender with no PL experience or defending at the top level.
Smalling is a better defender than Evans but you rarely see him paired with Jones unless Evans, Rio and Vidic are injured.
IF it was At Arsenal, they'd be their starting next to each other.
