Also, Emery really bottled a chance at silverware. They had UCL pretty much on lock since the first leg of the semis but this their end of season form has been terrible. UCL is good for the back office finance guys but winning silverware should always be the aim

Naija boys carrying another trophy

Either Boniface and Tella or Lookman getting their hands on EL :blessed:

But I’d rather Atalanta win the Coppa Italia then Leverkusen win EL

Love these invincible performances. Give them a big gold trophy(not that Mickey mouse thing they gave that team that flopped in the cup comps)

I can appreciate sporting achievement especially for a club I have no bone in outside of wanting to see my Naija boys Boniface and Tella do well.

away.

4 more finals for Leverkusen with 2 of them being actual cup finals. They will very likely go undefeated in Germany.

Bochum and Augsburg have nothing to play for so I just can’t see them losing there. Pokal final is against a relegation threatened 2nd tier German side, they should win that as well.

EL final against Atalanta might be trickier but I still give em the nod as that will be their first game after the end of the Buli season and the 1st of the 2 cup finals so this should be well rested.

I wonder what the management and ownership in Leverkusen think. The players' (Frimpong, Wirtz and the Moroccan kid I forgot his name) transfer value are at its highest probably BUT they are playing CL football next year. Would you sell players at the highest market value now who probably won't replicate this run in the following season(s)?

They’ll sell a couple players and retool the squad the same way they did this year by looking for good value deals in the transfer market e.g. Boniface, Grimaldo, Xhaka

UCL revenue next season means less pressure to sell players.

I think they sell Frimpong, Schick and possibly Palacios (I’d want mans at United).
