I wouldn’t be shocked if a large percentage of players have more disdain for Vini talking about the racism than they do for the people racially abusing him.

he says to focus on the systemic stuff over the symbolic or niche stuff.
which in the aggregate and in terms of the total effect on daily lives makes sense.
he is saying we need to fix our systems (education, media, socialisation etc) rather than trying to focus on ridding football (or any one similar area of life) of racism.
because as long as the societal influences are there making racists as they grow up you can never get rid of racism in football (and other selected areas).
