Redcafe a trip. Some people tryna say Pogba was an “average” player.

Starting midfielder in 4 back to back Scudetto winning campaigns plus a pivotal player in France’s world cup win. EL to boot as well.

Sure, his career could have been so much more but that’s far from average.

Most pro players player their entire careers and never even lift a domestic cup.

Some footie discussions are by mental people I swear.

Still…why the name shortening. Doesn’t explain it..unless the British media wanna take out the Islamic reference.

It's absolutely about the Islamic roots of the name.

When Pogba was great he was great when he was poor he was poor and the rest of the time he was somewhere in the middle for Yanited. So they would make him average. :manny: People can piss and moan about the set up and him being played out of position but that still doesn't excuse the fact for his effort at times was lacking otherwise he wouldn't of got the name Jogba.

Regarding the names. Because a) we love a nickname/short form b) its quicker and theyve probably asked around the club when they do their research on names pronunciations etc and what the player is referred by within the club. You arent going to say a name like Srinivasaraghavan Venkataraghavan everytime on comms are you? Reason why he was universally known as Venkat.

Don’t disagree on the bolder and We can an agree on his inconsistency on the pitch, but I’m speaking in objective terms.

If the football career read like a cv, how many professional players could say they played game at the highest level and significantly contributed to winning multiple league titles and a world cup (and scoring in the final).

There are more than 1000+ pro players in any given season on the Italian pyramid, only ~17-18 players can say the significantly contributed to winning the Scudetto, the top prize. Not just once, but 4x.

Objectively, that’s not an “average” career.

Damn fell apart after this. What’s the deal with Sweden, forms been terrible for a while and no Euros now.
yeah they been trash for a little while now, manager not letting a lot of the young talent through and refusing to switch things up. Hoofing long balls at Isak and Kulusevski lol. And refuses to switch from the 4-4-2, he's basically this guy
