Genuinely thought as it got closer the excitement of the football would outweigh the obvious issues with Qatar etc but this really is going to be a shytshow with crap football isn't it.

Whoever wins it gets an asterisk next to their name imo. This World Cup is Liverpool's title win, doesn't count.

Unless England win it
Bubble world cup lol

This world cup is bullshyt
So many are going to miss it through injury just because of Fifa corruption :scust:

I saw Coutinho is going to miss it now as well the other day :scust:
So players wouldn't have been injured if the WC was in June after a long domestic and Contininental competitions.

This actually might be the best WC in terms off play. Cause players are actually gonna be fit and not completely worn out after playing a full season

This would hold water if a) off-season wasn’t shortened to like 5 weeks and b) fixtures weren’t piled up for the last 8 weeks.

If anything, players are more tired/fatigued now than they would have been at this point of any other season and we’re seeing it with the amount of injuries occurring in such a short space of time.

Exactly, most players have been worked harder than Stephen A Smith over the last 12 months :flabbynsick:

Even before the covid stuff, top players were already worn out. I remember a stretch when Alexis Sanchez didn't get a real off-season break for like 3/4 years

Yeah there would have been injuries if the tournament was held in June, but they would have also had like a month to recover and maybe play in the world cup

If you pick up an injury now or at the weekend which is going to keep you out for 2 to 3 weeks, your world cup is over because it starts a week after all these games have been played

And most of these injuries what they are picking up are muscle injuries like hamstrings etc .
This has all been caused by them putting the world cup in November.
If there was no world cup we would only be on like game 4 of the CL which would still be being played in December, it finished last week though
