it's really got nothing to do with that.
Why you leaving out Spain Brasil Argentina Portugal Holland for? What's wrong with this nations? Because they aren't taking the Nigerian kids?
Let's be honest the African FA's probably aren't showing the players enough love at the youth level. Keeping in contact with the players on a regular basis and making them feel special and wanted. Let alone the phuckery and politics at the FA level which could put people off. Musiala felt more German that's why he picked Germany and by all accounts rumour is Olise feels more French than anything else even tho he don't speak a lick of the language. Secondly rumoured he feels that France out of the 4 countries wanting him to represented them chose him first as a youth so he is gravitating towards them more. If you don't put in the effort early towards the players they won't come.
I'm more so talking about the African dual nationals. So it'll primarily be France, UK and Belgium.
With African FA's the youth level's have been used to develop local talent, that's where many of the current homegrown players get a chance to shine and get a big move overseas (Osimhen for example). The senior team is usually a mix of homegrown players and trying to convert periphery players to come play for their fatherland. Dourcoure for example, he'd been in the youth French setup since U17 but never got called up to play for the senior French national team. Just recently he switched his allegiance to Mali as a WC was close by. Paul Pogba plays for France but his two other brother play for Guniea (not good enough for Les Blues).
If African teams were making deep runs I think you'd see more players opt to play for the African teams.
Yes there's some fukkery with the African FAs, but if a country like Nigeria, Ghana were winning WCs you'd be damn sure brehs like Nketiah, Saka, etc would think twice about donning the 3 lions kit.
