Is FIFA still using the away goal rule for the qualifiers? If so we're in trouble :patrice:

I was hoping if it ended in a draw we'd at least score some goals

Yep, away goals in play. So it's advantage Ghana, we'll have to score at least 2 in ABJ to feel comfortable.

Ghana didn't threaten tbh and we had the best chance with that Moses chance which he should have buried but still, a fluke PK or something like that and we're in trouble.

Was hoping Ivory Coast would hold France to a draw.

Until an African team beats UK, Belgium, France or Germany at the WC in a QF/SF, all these dual-nationality brehs that are super talented will choose to play for a European nation. If Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana etc were making deep runs in the WC/winning it, the likes of Tchouameni, Olise, Saka etc would never have cold feet about representing their fatherland.

It's a shame because CIV played France very tight but that last-minute win just reinforces that belief that you gotta play for the Euro nation if you want to go far.

That said, the gap is closing, however.

:mjlol: it's really got nothing to do with that.

Why you leaving out Spain Brasil Argentina Portugal Holland for? What's wrong with this nations? Because they aren't taking the Nigerian kids?

Let's be honest the African FA's probably aren't showing the players enough love at the youth level. Keeping in contact with the players on a regular basis and making them feel special and wanted. Let alone the phuckery and politics at the FA level which could put people off. Musiala felt more German that's why he picked Germany and by all accounts rumour is Olise feels more French than anything else even tho he don't speak a lick of the language. Secondly rumoured he feels that France out of the 4 countries wanting him to represented them chose him first as a youth so he is gravitating towards them more. If you don't put in the effort early towards the players they won't come.
