Question. Does PSG failures really come down to the fact that it has no real organic feel to it.
The last actual true project and identity they had was with Blanc. I could say Emery had an identity but the remontada will always be what people will think of his stint though the 4-0 was a beautiful display of football.
But their main issue is two fold IMO : the owners have too much say in the project and don't let coaches be and build ; and the owners want psg to be a brand as much as a footy club.
First point means that they bring and shield players that a coach might not need or have asked (the Aurier/Blanc issue, Messi or Ramos were not asked by Poch, Ney was not asked by Emery)
Second means that their marquee signings bring hella revenue but are nonsensical from a footy POV (why signing Cavani AND Ibra ? why bring Ramos instead of re signing Silva ? Why bring Messi when Kylian and Ney don't press much already and they already have Icardi)
All in all, it looks like PSG is a shiny car made by the owners and they choose a coach to drive it to the CL.
