TBH, Madrid already semi rebuilt. Camavinga and Fede are ready. Vini has stepped up. Militao, Mendy and Alaba are class. Casemiro still has 2-3 more seasons in him and Mbappe likely coming in summer.
Really only need a proper 9 for when Benzema starts to slow down. Asensio and Rodrygo can duke it out for RW. And then they’ll need another RB.
Outside of that, they have a ready team. Probably just need some better quality back ups to compete for places.
Wouldn’t be shocked if Pogba went there on a free in summer.

If Ancelotti starts camavinga/valverde/ modric they wrecking havoc on any midfield. Also you got casemiro in the cut. Add in rodrygo and Vini on the wing is too much pace for those teams, but don’t trust the coach so probably lose next round starting KCM and Asensioyou guy literally lost to them comfortably last season

No Van Dijk, no Matip, No Gomez. Both centerbacks that started the second leg are no longer with the club. Also, we were 6th in the league at the time and now we're comfortably second.
Modric at 36 years old is not getting in our midfield, and neither is Valverde because Fabinho and Thiago are better.

In hindsight, Tuchel getting PSG to the finals in 2020 was nothing short of a miracle. And to only lose by one goal and to then win it the following season with another team. if they had a coach like Pep or Klop and just any manager that like to play up tempo and press alot, yes, they would rip any team with that midfield, because that midfield is athletic and technical. midfielders the last 5-6 years are lacking in technical quality. even amongst the top team. but since City has both in technical quality and running, I would give them the edge because they will most likely be instructed to press more than a Carlo team.
so how come that midfield couldn't run circles around old and slow ass KCM midfield last season?
they were hanging on by the skin the teeth before Sanchez got sent off yesterday against a mediocre Inter side.
Fabinho might get ahead of Valverde and Camavinga as a dm, but both those guys are better than any of your industrial midfielder cm besides Thiago. but Modric has been better than Thiago this season.
that combine starting xl midfield would be Modric Fabinho and Valverde/Camavinga.
you can't just say you will run circles around their midfield when you have nothing to base this on.
