Going off the current football calendar. With the internationals fortnights it's basically games every week up till Christmas. Which means all the domestic cups start will have to be moved to into the new year and there will be no midweek league games from Sept-Dec for teams in the CL/Europa. So yeah like Liu said the league's are going to have to start at the beginning of August. Looks like the PL CL teams will be exempt from playing in the league cup for that season.

The fixture congestion apart from PL because I just don't see a majority vote for 18 team league even tho they should. I can see Italy and Ligue 1 moving to 18 teams. La Liga will depend on the T&C's on that investment money they took.

Maybe if the knockouts in the CL went to single leg this wouldn't be so bad ... but this is crazy. Almost makes me surprised they ever went away from the 2nd group stage that they used to have.

• The first slot will go to the club ranked third in the table of the association that is fifth in UEFA's association rankings. So, for example, that would mean the third place team from the currently ranked fifth league, France, would get into Champions League. Currently that position would go to AS Monaco, as they are third in Ligue 1.
• The second slot will go to a domestic champion after expanding the "champions path" from four clubs to five.
• The third and fourth slots go to the two clubs with the highest club coefficients that have not qualified automatically for the UCL's league stage but have qualified either for the qualifying stage or Europa League/Europa Conference League. That essentially means the best performing teams, numbers wise, that did not get into the league stage but qualified for Europe, would get bumped up into the league phase

I’ve honestly gone off football for the past couple of years. The greed has always been there but once they started fukking with the formula, I’ve become less and less interested.

Imagine if the NBA increased the playoffs series to best out of 9? You’re just diluting the formula. The super league proposal is just another example of how trash it’s becoming.

I’ll probably watch the odd game and World Cup, but outside of that, UEFA are just alienating and pricing out grassroots fans. Just wait until they introduce a half time show and “Kiss Cam”. These overpaid divas had made a mockery of the game.
