It's a combination of things his mother getting sick him catching malaria and his particular style of play is no longer enough unless your scoring week in week out. It's no coincidence that for quite a while the team looks better with Laca whose style fits the modern CF role.
Think he battle s back? Or is his time at Arsenal over?

He's done. Add age and the spring in his legs has gone also. I haven't done any research on this but some say post malaria recovery players aren't the same. The only example I have is Kolo Toure who was never the same after catching malaria. But some Arsenal fans will say the decline had already kicked in pre malaria. :manny:

With that said I did say Arsenal should of moved on from him after the FA Cup Win. :manny: I've always agreed with the Logan's Run principle when it comes to football :hubie:

Wilfried Bony is another one who got malaria and was never the same.
