Cheeky bid for Grealish? Sounds like he misses playing hero ball
Grealish: “I’ve found it a lot more difficult than I thought I would, adapting to a different manager and team-mates. At first I thought I’d have more of the ball, get more assists and goals but it doesn’t work like that at all. I’ve had nowhere near as much of the ball as I used to get at Villa."

Big fish in small pond moves to bigger pond and realizes he's an average fish
A tale as old as time. Star player of a small club moves to bigger club, gets frustrated at being one of the others instead of focus attention and demands a move.
It balances out kinda though because the club he moves to next is gonna get him for peanuts damn near

Arsenal star Gabriel in horror baseball bat attack - thugs try to steal £45,000 Mercedes and watch | Daily Mail Online
Arsenal star Gabriel fought off a robber wielding a baseball bat who tried to steal his £45,000 Mercedes from his garage, Sportsmail can reveal.
Gabriel and a friend were followed home from a night out by two robbers who demanded the footballer’s car keys, mobile phone and watch as he got out of his vehicle.
One of the attackers, Abderaham Muse, then lunged at the Brazilian with the bat, but Gabriel struck him in the face and wrestled with him, grabbing his hat, until the robber wriggled free and ran off.

He made great points about the club's desire for a "long-term" manager and the wish-wash nature of Ragnick's appointment.
I said the same on the day of his appointment and caught some heat but the nature of his appointment just shows a lack of clear vision and strong decision making at the club.
If you want to appoint a manager, appoint a manager. If you want to appoint a DOF/consultant type then do that. Whatever it is be deliberate about it.
What is particularly concerning for me is that the consultancy position was Ragnick's idea and not the clubs.
He's essentially parachuted himself into the role and that makes me question how much support/buy in he'll actually get from the top-brass at the club. It's all well and good saying he'll have "power" but without influence and support, he'll basically just be carrying a title in name only.
Also, let's say he was to do something crazy like winning the FA Cup and Champions League, I can 100% see the board saying, "Let's bin the consultancy thing we've been planning for the last 6-months, and just give Ralf a three year managers contract "
I'm honestly flabbergasted at the reactionary nature and lack of conviction that go into the critical decisions that get made by this club.

True, what I meant to say is that I'm flabbergasted that this mode of operating has been allowed to continue for so long at an organization as big as Utd. Lack of succession planning, due diligence, club identity etc. And that obviously comes down to the fact that the Glazer's are business men first and football people second. As long as the bottom line is healthy I guess they don't see a need to make any radical changes.I agree with everything you said but I'm surprised by this.
This has been the club's mode of operations on the football side since SAF left so how can you still be flabbergasted by this?
Now this last point is probably gonna be triggering but one day, when the time is right, I hope we'll be able to have a talk about Sir Alex's complicitness in the mess that Utd find themselves because you can't tell me that he doesn't see all the shyt that is wrong at that club.
