Y'all got Carragher gassed. He was a nothing defender who tried hard and has been elevated by his post playing career endeavors. Rio was a Rolls Royce footballer.

I saw not one valid point made in Carragher's post (unless someone can find any credible article or reporter speculating Rio moving to Chelsea), but I guess in his world Sky money>winning everything there is to win in club football.

Carragher has never claimed to be better than Ferdinand (he readily admits he didn't play for England more because Rio and Terry were both miles better than he was).

So why shouldn't Carragher have a football opinion? He's been in the game all his life, played at the highest level, won a European Cup and competed for a league title (08/09). So what's he supposed to do? Walk off the set when they talk about the title race?

Smh at old Man Utd players trying to police other people. Carragher is a way better pundit for what its worth.

Rio has to go the "I won the Prem and you didn't" route because he knows he's not half the pundit Carra is. He can't say anything to disprove what Carra has said about Ole and Ronaldo.

I'm not sure when this became about the playing careers of Carra and Rio. Which is one of the issues I find with Sky's match analysis. Only MNF seems to even be about the game anymore. Most HT or post match analysis just seems to descend into reality tv style talking points. Keane just wanted to stick the foot in about the same thing every week, lack of characters, motivation etc No good analysis about the match, what went on in it, important moments etc. Just shouting over each other Ronaldo! just absolutely shocking punditry tbh.

I love Rio but he honestly can talk absolute rubbish half the time. There was a debate on Salah vs Suarez between him and Michael Owen one night and whilst Owen was citing stats and other observable arguments like variety of goals, Rio's argument basically boiled down to, "well Salah has won the PL and Suarez didn't. So Salah has been better"

I'm not saying Suarez was better but it was embarrasing to watch Rio position his argument so poorly
