Juve need to move on from Chiellini and Bonucci, need new CBs

Dybala their future captain? :ehh:

McKennie just hasn't found his role on that club.

Ayo… have y’all taken a look at the amount of games Neymar missed for PSG during his time there? :dwillhuh::gucci:

Yeah. But he'll be on about 800 career games before 30 otherwise :picard:.

@Premeditated is right we forget he's played more games than we all actually realize. He's peaked ages ago but no one noticed as they were more concentrated on him missing games and PSG's failure.

This was a really good read from yesterday - Neymar’s once joyful talent risks being mangled by the PSG project | Barney Ronay

This is a man who has spent almost all of his career as the next in line, an oddly draining status as other stars rise, as the players ahead of you refuse to decline until your own mortality has begun to bite. Neymar may not have missed his window yet. But the real sweet spot, his shot at ultimacy, is flattening out.

It wasn’t meant to be this way. This is a footballer whose talent is, at bottom, a joyful thing. I saw Neymar live for the first time at the Arena São Paulo in 2014. He didn’t have a great game. But we all left cooing over what a joy he was in the flesh, this lovely little sprite made from sherbet and feathers. Seven years on there he was again, a parable of talent mangled through the machinery of big sport, and wreathed in a kind of sadness as he wandered across the grass in east Manchester. Look how they massacred my boy.

:wow:

I saw the headline on my feed but forgot to read it. Barney does do you some good pieces.

Neymar's mistake was going to Barca as it would if he went to Real instead. I understand why he went to Barca the footballing reasons the style fitted best for him. But he was already a superstar had the Nike machine behind him the poster boy of Brazil 2014 before he even landed in Spain. And when he turns up in Spain he's in the middle of Messi/C dot. The turning point was Brazil 2014 if he would of won the World Cup at the expense of Messi he would be of been put on an equal footing with Messi and C dot. But he got injured and we know the rest.
