United and Liverpool are the biggest clubs in England. There's a reason why UEFA make sure when Liverpool and United are in the CL they play on different days. Until you have that kind of pull and prestige your club isn't bigger than those 2.
Even before the PL United promoted themselves as the biggest club in England/World.
For as great as Chelsea have been over the last 20 years as a trophy machine they don't have a domination period like Liverpool and United had. Only 1 b2b league title and that was at the beginning. Since then won 3 leagues and had poor title defences in the following season. Until Chelsea have a sustained dominant period over English football like both Liverpool and United have done they will continue to always be on the outside looking in. Chelsea are a cup team that only wins the league every 3rd- 4th season. This is season 5 btw not good enough tbh.
All I'm saying is they better not let little old Chelsea win another European Cup any time soon. If we match super duper history club Man Utd's measly haul of 3 I will chat a lot of shyt.
I'll never get why people overshare like that
I guessed so but still, that's something I'll probably struggle with forever.it's part of the negotiation spiel .. "look how i have embarrassed myself to the whole world ... just for you " etc
Outside looking in at what though? The pecking order that gets brought out whenever a history club is struggling?
Chelsea could go to any corner of the world tomorrow and sell out a stadium. The brand is built despite not going on a super dominant run (which btw is unlikely to happen again because there is too much competition now).
I guess I'm just not a fan of legacy fans trying to likkle man supporters of other clubs.

I wish you hadn't responded to me as I didn't want to drop this on you but I will have to. sorry beloved.
Until Chelsea can win the CL as the reigning league champions or win the PL/CL double in the same season. You ain't on the level of United Liverpool Bayerns Barca Real Ajax's of the world. Even Forest and Villa won the European Cup as reigning domestic champs. Have Chelsea? Have Chelsea even made b2b CL/European Cup finals? Dont even try with that Channel 5 Thursdays nonsense either. Liverpool and United have done both.
Liverpool won the league title b2b 4 times with a 3peat thrown in. United have 2 3peats and another 3 b2b. Liverpool and United won 6 League titles in a decade Chelsea have how many in its history? 6?
Both Liverpool and United have done the League and CL/European Cup double twice. There's levels to this shyt. Chelsea's just aren't there. They get closer if they do the PL/CL this season but still have a way to go.
With all due respect my bro, this doesn't mean an awful lot to me.
6th place Chelsea winning the Champions League still went down in the history books as did last season's 4th place team.
As somebody who has seen better, more dominant Chelsea teams lose in Europe due to bad luck and unfortunate circumstances I couldn't care less how they get it done.
I'm sure when 4th place AC Milan won it in 07 it didn't mean any less to you. It was a good team scattered with legends getting it done and you celebrated it all the same.
Seeing Lamps, Drogs, Terry, Cole, Cech and them finally getting one in 2012 was great and didn't mean any less to me because they finished 6th. That's the same Chelsea core that won league titles and winning the Champions League was the culmination of that cycle. How other people view that success and where they rank it means fukk all to me and most Chelsea fans I would think. Nobody mentioned it at the parade.
