I understand why Chelsea went for Lukaku given his history with the club, but they could have deployed Havertz as the striker for the season with Werner as backup and put all of their eggs into the Haaland basket in the summer.

If we continue playing as badly as we are then something has to change, and ultimately the buck stops with the manager.

But again it’s almost pointless talking about as he’s not getting sacked etc etc etc

We all know and have known he probably isn’t the manager who will have us make the final step to the BIG trophies but he deserved and still deserves the benefit of the doubt for the overall good work he’s done.

Up until about 2/3’s in to last season the signs were very positive and small steps of progress were being made(whether they were big enough steps for anyone’s expectations is irrelevant really), but towards the end of last season and this season the signs have overall been trending downwards.

Things change quickly and beat Liverpool at the weekend and who knows, but as of now….yeah, worrying.

(With all that said just enjoy the ride all of you over emotional grown men in here smh, we are entertaining af)
