the scary thing to me is that we literally put out our strongest team and were at home
just not good enough

That was not our strongest team. Any team with Odergaard as a straight up CM, is not a strong team.

Odergaard cannot CM in the PL, period. And why Arteta didn't see this the first time he played him there I don't understand. We have Central Midfielders on our team, play them.

This is the shiit that gets me with dude. He thinks he's smarter then he really is.

And Lacazette is our best CF, fukk his contract situation.

Because Arteta wants to play 433/4141. Might work better with Partey and Odegaard and then someone else as the screen in front of the back 4.

:pachaha:

Gary Cahill did this and it used to make me sick. Never engaged the forward, always backed up and let them do whatever they wanted.

Tbh I don't mind that because it's suppose to hold up the attacker till more support comes. But you cannot stand off that far have to be closer to shorten the shooting window.

It hasn't worked at all in the 2 games. Our Midfield got worked and over ran completely.

And it's not going to work, you wasting what Odergaard brings to the team. And essentially leaving Partey on an Island.

Yeah 100%, have to engage at some point or do something to put the striker off. And he's in the direct line of the keeper obstructing his view. Just shocking defending.

I saw a clip the other day where Ben White was saying he didn't watch football growing up and doesn't watch it now. Basically turns up to training / games and switches off. Made me think if that has stunted his development/reading of the game in some ways :jbhmm:

Apart from shifting Saka LW where else you going to play Odegaard apart from the RW in 433? The problem is playing ESR and Odegaard together as the 8's. Partey isn't really a screen player. It needs him further forward and someone sitting.
