Tbf, I'm not sure what Gary can do about a mate in that position. He has repeatedly said they're not [playing as] a team, not [playing] organised and don't [show they] have a system or style of play
all of that could possibly be blamed on the players which is what GNev obliquely does when doubles down on that by naming players who "do not press enough" etc.
which is calling out Ole without saying his name or blatantly saying Ole is not good enough
nope.
not once does he direct blame or IIRC even name or refer to Ole other than in an ambiguous manner or in the
passive voice.
i.e. "i am worried for Ole" passive ! or "Ole/the manager will be under pressure" passive ! or "it is not good enough" ambiguous cause.
never once does he directly state anything even approaching naming Ole as the
causal agent for any of the issues much less say that he is "a poor manager".
GNev2 is going out of his way to stay on the safe side of
plausible deniability and contrary to what you think there is plenty that someone code do beyond that "if their mate was in that position" or not.
it is part of his GNev brand and his job to be objective and he is failing at it.
that sort of clear bias at work or in court will get you disciplined, fired or even in extremis, locked up.
in football he is just going to lose credibility because of this.
