I still think the title is between City and Pool.

Chelsea just doesn't have the attacking power to keep up with them. nor is their midfield that creative

So Manchester United haven’t even played any of the big boys yet and up they’re still fourth. Still got Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester to come. Chelsea, Liverpool and City have had the toughest fixtures so far and they’ve done well.

I still think the title race will between these three clubs. Utd will drop off as long as Ole is still employed there.
Football is funny. Last season he fared badly against the top 6 but finished 2nd
the previous season he hd plyed better against top 6 and jus scraped into top4:manny:

Last season Liverpool and Chelsea were very poor. By the time Chelsea changed their manager it was too late. This season all three are back in great form, especially Liverpool who look terrifying with their front three again.

For what it's worth, those who actually have a go at our fans in the stadium for supporting Ole, are clearly exposing themselves as never having been to a game in their lives.

This is definitely top red shyt i'm saying here but there's truth in it. If you go regularly it's different, you're supporting the team, not demanding you win every game. Internet only fans can't understand that because they don't have the experience of truly following their team, the experiences that brings, it becomes about more than the result.

Fans who have sat through the Moyes/LVG/Jose eras are rightly enjoying supporting the team again, regardless of the (very fair)criticisms of Ole.

I don't want this to sound like i'm putting non-attending fans down - shyt I haven't had a season ticket and gone to every game since Fergie was manager - the vast majority have no choice.

But actually taking shot at our fans for getting behind the team/manager, it's ridiculous.:gucci:

Which is fine/great.:yeshrug:

I’m specifically addressing those internet fans who can’t seem to grasp why the fans would chant for Ole.

I speak regularly to a lot of fans who go every game and the vast majority agree this is the most engaged the fan base has been with the team since Fergie left. That’s a good thing. I have no idea why anyone would try and portray that as bad just because they don’t rate Ole.

Problem is those types are more concerned about other 15-year-olds of other fanbases on twitter mocking them, than they are about supporting their team.

It’s just toxic imo.

That's part of the rewards of hiring a club legend as a manager from an owner's prospective. They're relatively cheaper, and there's always a significant portion of the fanbase (and they're often the generational, season ticket paying types) that will always back them because of 1999 and what Ole represents to the club's history.

Even when Lampard was at his absolutely lowest, weeks before he got sacked, many Chelsea diehards refused to turn on him. The same will happen when Gerrard becomes Liverpool manager and things go awry.

It’s not just that though, even if there is an element of that.

Going to United games was a chore under the previous managers, I know I personally used to all but write off the game before going and just enjoyed the piss up/day.

We have had a few shocking performances at the end of last season and the start of this, and intermittently for periods during Ole’s reign, but overall the entertainment factor has been far higher both in terms of the football on display and overall drama.

Fans were disillusioned with the squad before Ole, we didn’t like the team, we didn’t like the players, we didn’t enjoy supporting the club.

Club legend or not Ole has given us entertainment and a FAR more likeable squad, players we can get behind, who seemingly actually want to play for the club rather than being stop gaps who were here for money(yes, i realise the current squad is still compensated very well).

I know I, and many others are really enjoying being Man Utd fans again, even with some of the disappointing results/lack of trophies.

I can totally understand how internet fans may not care about these things, but they’re vitally important for match going fans.

I honestly can’t imagine how some of these internet fans would cope having to support a lower league team, nevermind a lower premier league team.

They don’t support the club, they support the brand they have been sold and promised, and are naturally fukked off when it doesn’t meet expectations.
