they were literally in the finals last year

blow it up for what?

they just need another creative midfielder and some fullbacks.......... and a manager who has won something

They have too many players who get too high when they win and too low when things aren't going their way. When I saw them pop champagne after winning the quarter finals I knew this was a joke team. The capitulation over the two legs wasn't by accident. Herrera, Paredes, Di Maria, great players to have to get under your opponents skin but not the players to mount a comeback. They need more professionals like Marquinhos and Navas.

Others have posted but here is the actual message:

It basically reads: "Is Dennis really your quota/token black guy?"

Clearly the message was sent to him in error and he was rightfully fired but how can the story end here?

Clearly this message was intended for one of Aogo's collegues or bosses at Sky and the fact that Lehman was so comfortable to send it means they must have said some other fukk shyt to each other in the past:stopitslime:.

Now obviously, any further investigation would be dependant on Lehman complying and revealing who it was meant for (which he probably won't do) but I hope that he (Aogo) presses the issue.

Dirty? :mjpls:
If this was Foden or Grealish, narrative would have been about the player being such a consumate professional by wanting to work on their skills even when away from the training ground.

"Whilst other players buy fancy cars and haircuts, Phil Foden eats and sleeps football :blessed:"

Back to this for a moment, what did Sky expect to happen here? :lupe:

Spurs weren’t? anyone thinking anything good will come from this is delusional

Spurs as a club historically are but this current squad aren't underdogs imo. Spurs are a top 4 team on paper with 3/4 top players who can play expansive football. He was a bad hire for the parts they have.

West Ham and Everton are bigger underdogs imo.

Not when the top 6 PL club is Spurs
Maybe the other 5 teams yeah but not Spurs sorry :hubie:

I don't even want to defend these dudes but currently, it's a step down.

Premier League is the top dog in football. Bigger spotlight, bigger budgets, great facilities.

That's English media in a nut she'll when it comes to black players.

So all the kneeling, social media blackout won't do anything if the people who report the news aren't taken to task and punished for the shyt they write about non white footballers.

I keep telling people about Germany. Lehmann would only do that if he thought he could get away with it. It is only the international limelight that has led to his release.

Social media and the change in international tone will slowly expose them.

In general it is illegal to film people and publish it in Germany (privacy laws), but even that is slowly changing.

Once it does and once this gets going people are going to be shocked at what has remained hidden for so long.

WWII attitudes still live in the heads of far too many of them AND they lack filters and social grace.

Arsenal legend Jens Lehmann is given the SACK by Sky in Germany and from Hertha Berlin's board after calling ex-German international Dennis Aogo TV punditry's 'token black guy' in a WhatsApp message
  • Jens Lehmann has become embroiled in a racism storm in Germany this morning
  • Arsenal Invincibles goalkeeper sent Sky Sport pundit Dennis Aogo a message asking if he was the company's 'token black guy' on Tuesday evening
  • Aogo posted screenshot and said the message 'probably wasn't meant for him'
  • Lehmann has since been sacked from Hertha Berlin's board as fans urge companies to cut ties with footballer-turned-pundit in wake of racism storm
Jens Lehmann has been sacked by both Hertha Berlin and Sky Germany after appearing to accidentally text fellow TV pundit Dennis Aogo asking if he was the company's 'token black guy'.

In what appears to be a WhatsApp message mistakenly sent to Aogo, Germany and Arsenal legend Lehmann - translated literally - says: 'Is Dennis actually your "black" one?,' following it with a laughing emoji.

Aogo posted a screenshot to his Instagram story shortly after, alongside the caption: 'WOW... The message was probably not meant for me!!!'

It is not yet clear who Lehmann meant to send the message to, but it has resulted in him being sacked from his position as an advisor on Hertha Berlin's board, while a statement from Sky said the company would no longer have the ex-goalkeeper on their platform.

Executive vice president of Sky Sport Charly Classen said: 'Dennis Aogo is a valued colleague and excellent expert and we are very happy to have him on our team. At Sky, we condemn all forms of racism and we don't give racism space or a platform.

'We often had Jens Lehmann as a guest on Sky on our program, are very disappointed with his behaviour and are now planning not to invite him as a guest on our programs.'
