The problem with Liverpool this season is pretty simple. We "lost" our best centerbacks and our two best midfielders. The loss of Van Dijk and Gomez made Klopp move Fabinho and Hendo to defense.

Without those guys in midfield we can't suffocate the ball in midfield and we can't press like we usually do. Klopp also assigned Robertson to cover in defense so he can't contribute to the attack like he usually does. And that forces Mane to collect the ball further upfield instead of closer to goal, which is why he's been persona non grata in attack for 2 months now.

It's a combination of bad luck and (perhaps) bad decisions by Klopp.

It really is that simple, Wenger said the same yesterday word to @Kunty McPhuck, Kabak should at the very least allow that midfield to function by allowing Hendo to go back to midfield (even though low-key he’s the better cb :mjpls:) cause Thiago not being able to play the 6 like we need him to exacerbates things even further and of course if Naby comes back and can put together a consistent run that midfield gonna be :whew:

Before the injuries, I thought you looked shaky against Leeds, obviously Villa and even against Arsenal. Maybe it could have been sorted but early on in the season, I remember thinking you dont look defensively solid before the injuries happened.

Is it really normal to announce a new manager coming at the end of the season in the middle of the season when the new manager is currently in a job in the same league? Seems kind of weird.
