Wenger's model only works if you have very strong/dominant leaders in a team imo.

And it depends heavily on the player having a killer mentality.

Yup! He needed strong personalities to make it work, and he had a team of guys who didn’t want to lead.

Ironically, van Persie was the one guy who had it but he spent four seasons injured. Way better captain and leader than Fabregas and Gallas.
