Cavani the same clown that mistaken Jamaica as an African representative for the confederation cup:snoop:

you gotta remember these are footballers not scholars, most of them dumb as rocks

Breh thats the guy he called negrito. I don't know about you but that doesn't look like a black man to me.

This is a tough one, in Portuguese and I believe in Spanish too, the word “negro” is the political correct term for black person. In the word negrito, the “ito” means small in a friendly way, like “inho” in Ronaldinho. Calling someone that just translates to callin someone bro

If that's how they talk among each other in his country then it is what it is... when I read the headline I thought he had called a black person a monkey or some shyt. This ain't really worth whatever they're trying to hit him with.

Edit: shyt didn't Toni Kroos get caught reading a whole Mein Kampf or something like that, Italian players stay giving shout outs to Mussolini, go after them.

I mean we can get in to the nitty gritty of whether the term is wrong all day.

But the contexts are massively different. Cavani was genuinely just thanking a friend for his congratulations.

Suarez took the term and made it overtly racist by repeating it in an insulting way then saying he doesn’t talk to those types.

Cavani had immediately apologised for any UNINTENDED offence. Suarez refused to even acknowledge he may have done something wrong when he intended to offend.

Would be disgusting if he got banned tbh.
First things first, clearly nothing racist about it he shouldn’t get banned but he will because optics and it will be longer than Silva’s which is farcical :hhh:

However I ain’t tryna hear shyt about context from you lot at all because 9 years ago it didn’t matter one bit :scust:

Cavani will probably get a fine and a ban, it is what it is. :yeshrug:

3 Games is excessive though, seeing that Bernardo Silva was making a ignorant joke on video and including that tweet which he only got a fine and banned for one match.

Probably as a message to players abroad to not do that shyt.

Let’s not do this. Saying “I don’t speak to blacks” isn’t good in any context. The two aren’t comparable at all.
Yes let’s not do this because I’ve already said it wasn’t racist and he shouldn’t be banned  I’m talking about the use of the word negrito :francis:

9 years ago it didn’t matter what it meant back home so I’m not gonna hear that as a defence this time.
