I haven’t posted in this thread in a while.

Nothing we didn’t all know already.

It's especially flagrant when compared with US where it's been largely curbed or called out when it happens. It feels like you're listening to late 90s/early 2000s NBA commentary when they're talking about hairstyles, power and strength vs IQ and techincal ability.

But then again Europeans are behind with most stuff, they're still out there dabbing unironically :heh:

is he really the business? nigerian twitter stays talking about him but they talk about everybody lol

He's definitely one of the better strikers we've seen come along in a while and he's young. The Nigerian national team had most bases covered (GK was still up for grabs) during the last WC, but we definitely lacked a clinical striker to take us far. I like Odion and what's he's been doing at United, but he's in the sunset phase of his career.

For what it's worth, Osimhen won the Marc-Vivien Foé prize. Given to the best African national playing in Ligue 1.

I think people are also happy because although you'll find Nigerians playing all over Europe, we haven't really had anyone play AND do well at the top clubs in Europe. Iwobi was at Arsenal but was on the periphery. Ndidi is definitely crucial to Leicester and you have Chukwueze at Villarreal, but outside of that, can't name too many other folks.

Napoli closing a deal for Victor Osimhen for 50 million euros is good business.
Worth every penny :myman:

Think it’s a great move for him personally, being a black player playing in Italy aside :mjpls: and will flourish, it’s a step up in league quality while also starting every week which is crucial for his development at this point for him and the national team :blessed: think he’s prem destined for his next move barring one of the La Liga two making a move on him.

Nah, The Greizzy train has sailed. Seems like a player with too much baggage. No thanks. :hubie:

It's not even the baggage. He would be a bad buy because he will want to take up the same spaces as your other forwards want to take up. And United's need is presence/someone who is only interested in stay in the box.

Yeah. We saw that last weekend when Mata, Bruno & Lingard played together....didn't really work out, cause they all wanted to play through the middle.:skip:
