Salah out wide trying to dribble past Atletico players was a losing tactic from the get go. In a game like this I would have liked to see Salah touch the ball in the box more and not outside wide. He was completely taken out of the game outside of a few moments.

Gotta give Atletico credit, playing a 4-4-2 and at times 4-5-1 with the defensive line and midfield behind the ball while looking for the counter was classic football manager stuff. They were better overall even after the first and second goal.

The squad depth at Liverpool just isn't there. Milner coming on as a sub is all you have to know. Also, the 4-3-3 tactic has run it's course with Liverpool, the explosiveness just isn't there. Klopp has to look to Integrate Minamino, might have to switch to a 4-2-3-1.

You casuals keep using this narrative because they beat Barca and Bayern in their back yards by "luck". Drogba, lampard, ramires, terry, el nino, petr, kalou, mata, ect. They had talent on that squad.
