Barca been on the decline since Laporta left. He was the only one who had a vision. Rosell got what he deserved for being a ungrateful backstabber c*nt and the current President doing it for the clout and making them feel important and forget that they are trustees to the members. Weak leadership at the top filters itself down sooner or later it always does.

You still buy Dortmund Dembele just too much upside to pass on a talent like that.

Valverde got canned because he was no longer bringing guaranteed wins away from home and the football was shyt. Also there aren't any coaches available to take the Barca job, apart from Poch (who is loyal to Espanyol) and Allegri don't play the ball required. Why you think they went to Xavi?

This guy is worse than valverde. if they kept him after the roma loss and the liverpool loss, i dont see why you wont let him finish this season. There are more options during the summer.

He plays nice football, Valverde didnt. The problem is the age and lack of mobility in the Barca squad.

That's the only footballing reason why he got the job, because Betis played nice football. Majority of the La Liga coaches play football like Valverde does. Barca have a 50 Year old Dutch footballing philosophy of playing nice football that they are tied too. Problem being the only person who truly understands it and can execute it is Pep and the job made his hair fall out. Valverde only got the job because he played for the club.

If you know Spanish football, you'll understand the whole political dynamic of it all when it comes to hiring coaches and the presidency. @THEREALBRAND can explain it all. Shyt makes me head hurt :francis:

Jurgen Klinsmann leaving Hertha. Probably saw the writing on the wall, team is headed into a long relegation battle and he wasn't with it.

Chelsea have other holes they need to fill, spending 120m on Sancho is a huge chunk of their budget. Still need a CB, LB and ST and possibly a replacement for Kante/DM, all that is about 150-200m excluding what the cost for Sancho is.

And the reason why they didn't spend any money in the winter window after getting the ban overturned, is to fit in with FFP. They've gone over the threshold for 2 out of the last 3 years.

I reckon Sancho has been told Poch is coming in the summer and that has swayed the decision over living back in London permanently for the first time in 6 years.
