United has money to spend, why get rid of your best player when you're trying to get back to the top? Especially since they've shown they're incapable of attracting star players. Prior to Pogba, last 'star' player bought was Di Maria 5 years ago, and before that maybe RVP? Can't even remember.
Madrid had no problems spending over 300m so far to rebuild and are only looking to get rid of their dead weight.
So how about letting go of Lingard, Pereira, Jones, Young, Rojo, Darmian, Sanchez and Mata.
