arsenal fans were right here, twitter etc that pool will drop points. but they overestimated (as usual) their team ...odegaard or no odegaard....

in any case that spurs match is the definition of a must win regardless what chelsea do or dont do

I'm almost Arteta Out because it's been 5 years and he still hasn't gotten over some of the areas we need to fix, and hasn't won shyt. I have no clue how you rely on Martinelli as a regular starter when his quality dropped once Xhaka left. It was obvious since last season LW was one of our biggest needs. We play too right sided and teams have figured it out, which is why we're having issues this season. Saka is an unreal player, but we need balance to unlock our team. Odegaard is great, but he plays too much on the right and doesn't do enough to distribute to areas.

I have no clue what Arteta was thinking of going for Merino, but he's most likely ain't it, and another wasted transfer. Plus, Havertz is alright, but it's clear we needed a proper striker. We most likely finish in the top 4 this season, but it's embarassing to have back to back seasons like we did and then when things fall in place we choke.

Arsenal not beating Everton at home is not good.
Not only did we not beat them, we couldnt even create any chances

Mikel Merino, our marquee summer signing, had 30 touches in the second half. He spent more time on the backline looking for final balls than contributing to the game. Why would a serious manager even play Rice and his Spanish doppelgänger in the same team against a relegation candidate? :jbhmm:

Arteta and the team building is coming back to haunt us. Only so long fake ballers can pretend. Havertz bum, Martinelli bum, Merino…not all his fault but so far bum. It’s Saka FC

I’ve been talking about Rodrigo Muniz for a minute btw, cheap and just the right kind of player I could see flourishing under a more technical side like Arsenal. But no, Havertz :aicmon:

Saka doing what he's doing makes him even more incredible. Other players are playing on squads with more balance and aren't marking him like they do Saka. It's scary that there aren't any links for a January move, which is insane if you ask me. If the club is serious they'll make sure to grab a striker or LW in january. I have no clue who since it's not my job, but there's no way we can carry on with this current squad if we want to win anything

This is exactly what the Arsenal board want. Top 4, champions league football, high ticket prices. If Arteta somehow manages to win a major trophy then it’s a bonus and not the main objective.

This should be the season we take advantage of City’s crumbling. Liverpool have taken that incentive, but Arsenal once again have fallen short of the mark. Three seasons in a row now.

It’s not just the number nine position as you said… it’s the over reliance on both Saka and Odegaard. Take them both out and we’re bereft when it comes to creativity. Our left side is completely dog shyt. Martinelli? Zion-chenko? Word? :francis:

Edit: and you’re right, Saka deserves better. Wouldn’t be mad if he left. ‘Bigger’ teams are definitely trying to court him, and I wouldn’t blame him for leaving.

MLS seems to have some creativity in him. His natural position seems to be a midfielder. However, I don't think Arteta is going to make him fill a role. It's just telling when he did more to push us forward than most of our midfield and fullbacks. If we're going to crash this season. Then we really need to say F it and see what we have in Nwaneri and MLS becuase those 2 for the little time they've played looked more creative than most of our squad minus Saka and Odegaard .
